I’m a passionate, spiritual and sensual soul and I’m also sexy, sassy and a little bit cheeky!
So I say to you …. get ‘up’ and get your groove on girlfriend!! :-)
Being a fit, active and healthy person, I believe in holistic health and general wellbeing. At 45 years young, I believe I’m the happiest and healthiest I’ve been throughout my life …. and it keeps getting better! And I say this with hand on my heart ladies, as I’ve had many health challenges along the way and it’s been a very rocky road at times!
As a spiritual being, in a physical body, having a human experience, I enjoy the physicality, passion, fun, laughter, excitement, adventure, creativity, inspiration and all the joy of life. I subscribe to keep it simple and to live a life you love …. and it can be that simple, as many of the simple, feel-good pleasures in life are free and good for us! Here are a few….
Kissing can take many forms – a peck on the cheek, a kiss on the lips, a passionate kiss, or maybe a stolen kiss! I had a man plant one on me in the surf recently, which took me by surprise, as I only met him a few minutes earlier! We all know kissing feels good, however, science is demonstrating kissing may have long-term physical and mental benefits – kissing produces oxytocin (promotes calmness and wellbeing), helps combat oral plaque, boosts immunity, burns calories, increases hormone levels, may increase life expectancy and gives around 30 face muscles a workout (tightens your cheeks and helps you stay wrinkle-free!), so pucker up!
Hugging is good medicine, transferring energy and giving an emotional lift, and is extremely effective at healing sickness, loneliness, disease, depression, anxiety and stress. Hugging boosts oxytocin, serotonin and self-esteem, relaxes muscles, balances out the nervous system, reduces the risk of heart disease and lowers blood pressure. We need 4 hugs a day for survival, 8 for maintenance and 12 for growth. I’m a hugger, love hugs, and the bonus is …. you usually can’t give one without getting one, so cuddle up!
Laughter is the best medicine! And it’s free! How infectious is a good belly laugh? I went along with a friend to a Laughter class last year, which funnily enough was loads of fun and laughs! What a cool idea! I must admit I am a ‘laugh out loud’ person and I have a quirky sense of humour. Sometimes I’m the only person in the movie cinema laughing (must have gone over their heads!) and sometimes I can remember something that happened earlier that day and start laughing again (like a movie on rewind), which may confuse people, depending on what’s happening at the time. Laughter is good for the soul and powerful for stress relief, strengthens your immune system, boosts your energy, triggers the release of endorphins, protects the heart, defends against respiratory infections, eases anxiety and fear, diminishes pain, increases memory and learning, improves your mood and adds joy and zest to life. Laughter is free, fun and easy to use, so fun it up!
Sleep sleep, glorious sleep! There is a plethora of information available about sleep, how much we need, when we need it, etc. Our bodies need sleep to heal, both our physical body and our mental body. Studies show regular pillow time makes you look healthier and more attractive! You’ll also live longer, improve athletic performance, boost your immune system, improve learning, function better throughout the day, reduce the risk of heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke and obesity. I have been known to burn the candle at both ends and severely deprive my body of much-needed shut eye, often for weeks on end, sometimes months on end, which doesn’t usually end well …. exhausted and haggard isn’t a good look! Research shows get 7-9 hours, make your bedroom completely dark (maximises hormonal response), calm your brain before bed (no electronic gadgets) and eat no less than 3 hours before bedtime (anything less kills fat burning), to ensure you keep your zzzzz’s up!
And yes, the one you’ve been waiting for (save the best for last hehehe!). Sex can heal your body and mind and prevent many diseases. It's not called Sexual Healing for nothing! :-) Whether your preference is solo, same team, different, team, both teams, couple, group, simultaneous, consecutive, top, bottom, standing, sitting, acrobatic, indoors, outdoors, toys, dress up, dress down, long and slow, hard and fast, lust or love, one night or forever, to start the day, get through the day or end the day, all of the above or none of the above, sex is good for you! Correction …. sex is FANTASTIC for you! I love sex, it’s fun, my whole body feels alive, it gets the endorphins, dopamine and oxytocin flowing, heart pumping and blood racing, it’s a great workout, and is the elixir and the anti-ageing pill of life! Sex is also known to remedy headaches, postpone menopause, relieves PMS symptoms and stress, and keeps your muscles and bones strong (a cautionary note, be mindful of practicing safe sex, to ensure your body stays healthy). And even better (thank you Scottish researcher!), making love three times a week can make you look 10 years younger, claims a Scottish researcher. "It's good for you to have good sex," says David Weeks, a clinical neuropsychologist at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, whose study on the effects of sex on aging appears in his book, Secrets of the Superyoung, so love it up!
Ladies …. we can live a healthy, balanced life and feel vibrant and full of energy, passion and youthful vigour. We can look fantastic and feel terrific! Join me and make a decision today to delight in all the simple, feel-good pleasures, kick up your heels, let your hair down, get ‘up’, get your groove on and live a life you love! :-)
